Pigeon Comeback?
Today is Tuesday and Pop-Cultured has a little gemstone of gossip. So we received a Google Alert about one of our favorite girls, Heather Chase. Girl’s been down to biz-ness, seriously.
Not only has her band been rocking around town lately, Pigeon sobered-up and went Ivy League slumming last Tuesday! Pige rocked it and debuted a new original song off their sayin’ is a 2011 album. I know, right? Pige’s got new stuff. When did they get back together again and someone please tell me when Heather became college-guy type?
The song’s called Untitled 1. and is apparently an indie-rock number about the perils of 20-something love. The opening lyrics talk about being tongue-tied and the verses seem to hint at a shy girl who can’t bring herself to tell that one guy how much she actually likes him. Aww. Sounds like something Justin Bieber would write.
The official lyrics aren’t online yet and other than a student reporter piece from The Harvard Crimson (pretty legit*) no talk of Pigeon’s 2011 album has reached our ears here at Pop-Cultured yet. But that doesn’t mean it won’t! Keep ya’ll updated.
* Though this might just be an elaborate pop-culture joke by the notorious satirically ironic comedians, The Harvard Lampoon.

Snap, Snapped: Heather Grey Chase
Today is Tuesday and Pop-Cultured’s all over the Chase. Have you seen IT yet?! You’ve got to see IT! Waking up this morning and checking our inbox was better than a Christmas morning. IT is probably worth a million dollars and we’re kicking our asses for not snap-snapping IT.
What is IT? – The first known pap shot of model (aka Bill Kaulitz’s [better known as GOD] humanoid bitch), Heather Grey Chase, surfaced on the viral feeds this morning. That’s right; a real candid of Miss Chase arriving in her car (which is apparently extremely old school cool??)

We’re hyperventilating! – This is the first photo that hasn’t been hoarded away by Tokio Hotel’s management, or her people. And Heather (OMG) totally looks like what Bill said his type is. You bet we’re insanely jealous; the glam feathers, pale vampiric skin, green eyes, full lips, perfect teeth, and Lady Gaga hair. Ok, maybe not quite so Lady Gaga, but you have to admit the blond streak is pretty cute.
Speaking of Gaga and the paparazzi… “Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga. Yes, that was totally relevant and necessary. Did you know Gaga was called a sexed-up version of a Pigeon (meaning Heather) by a New York beat reporter earlier this year?

→ Breaking Benjamin’s new single “I Will Not Bow” is tearing up the charts and has quite a few NYers looking out their office windows to view the sidewalk traffic in hopes of catching the glimpse of a surrogate.

BB isn’t to be outdone by TH. Releasing their own humanoid-inspired mv for Dear Agony’s 1st single. The reason we bring it up? Well, Ben Burnley messed around with (and is still BFFers with) the same girl as Bill & incorporated virtuality into his music, no doubt a nod to her virtual fame.
- Could it be jealousy of Bill and Heather’s continued romance? Or just a vent of pent-up angst after a messy de-engagement; “Show me when forever dies,” SOMEONE clearly has feelings still.

We know the mv actually corresponds to Bruce Willis’ new movie, Surrogates, but what’s with the surrogate main character, almost a dead-ringer for Heather? Did BB want to cash in on the Heather Grey Chase publicity phenomena too?

HG Billy-Boy’s Humanoid
Today is Tuesday and Pop-Cultured’s heads are rolling; two weeks ago we blogged that our favorite German rockers, Tokio Hotel, officially named their new album, Humanoid. Now the story is lead singer, Bill Kaulitz, named the album after his girl, Heather Grey Chase. The confusing they’rereallydating *fangirl squee* drama continues!
On Monday, the blogmistress of HG’s official fansite, The Heather Chase Files, reposted the article that exploded the story: Bill’s humanoid is HG, leaving us confused once again. Does that mean Bleather’s back together? Were they ever apart?
And if we weren’t confused enough, TH’s Official American Fansite, Tokio Hotel America’s, changed their tagline from, “Because life is too short to not be their fan…” to “Because life is too short to not be their fan humanoid.” This means even the official American fansite is acknowledges that Bill named Humanoid after a person!!

Billy’s Future
Today is Tuesday and Pop-Cultured is on-again; obsessively blogging love-pigeons, Bill Kaulitz and Heather Chase’s, off-again romance. The low-down? Billy’s Future doesn’t include trophy girlfriend. (BTW GUYS: This means she is available for that lunch-date and “tennis match” if you get what we’re sayin’.)
“You may have noticed Bill changed his hairstyle.” One TH-lover let slip, “Well, it’s because of her…” That’s right; Bill ditched the lion’s mane do for dreads to piss-off Heather. And as it turns out this is not the only thing Bill did in effort to ditch her.
“He kicked her and her mooching friends out of his apartment!” One fight after another, Bill finally kicked Heather (and friends) out of the apartment. “Bill even demanded that she give back the dog he gave her for Valentine’s Day.” And as the ultimate Bill went into the fashion designing business, without any help from Miss Supermodel!
His fashion line, Billy Future, will launch in Fall 2009, right around the time of TH’s new album. Rumors say the album will be My Hotel, Reset, or Wayward. Our money is on Wayward; Pigeon talked about working on an album called Wayward in January and then it was announced that they were definitely doing violin stuff with TH.
But the more important thing: Do you think Billy-boy is better off with or without Heather?

Tokio Hotel and Cinema Bizarre Hit the US Concert Trail
Today is Tuesday and Pop-Cultured is hot for Germans! Sources dished that Tokio Hotel is accompanying Cinema Bizarre on their first US tour. How wicked awesome is that? Can anybody say “Big Cinema?”
The Facts: TH and CB are both from beer-partying Deutschland and signed to the same label. Though TH is veterans on the world-wide music party scene, CB is quickly catching up! Yet, CB doesn’t sing in the deutsche, only English. *Tears*
The Look: Wildly metrosexual anime-look. TH’s Bill Kaulitz is more hardcore, with a side of diva. The Cinema boyz are straight up anime diehards, with a side of pop. But you have to admit both bands are pretty damn sexy.
The Mantras: TH says, “Support the arts; sleep with rockstars.” CB says, “Style is war.” Okay, let me atta ‘em!
Now all that’s left is to see is whether female diehards of TH and CB can split their libido loyalties between Bill and Strify… Hmm… Can you?
And now the dates for the upcoming rockoff…
