Could This Be Heather Grey Chase?

Bill and Tom Kaulitz of German rock band Tokio Hotel made a rare appearance at an event in California this Saturday: the NIVEA and Shay Todd Summer Chateau. In the photos from the event the Kaulitz twins sported beards and the always androgynous Bill appears to have packed on some muscle in the last few months.

But more pressing, who is the mystery girl the twins were pictured with? Some are claiming it is Bill Kaulitz’s rumored paramour, Heather Grey Chase. What do you think?

Heather Chase is indeed back in the US after months abroad in Hamburg and later some on the road with Tokio Hotel. Currently back in New York City, she and music partner, Erik Monk, are rumored to be reviving their former underground band, PIGEON. Chase is also working on fashion projects on the side.

Heather Grey Chase and her twin brother, James, are expected to be at the Philly Loves Haiti radio-thon in their native Philadelphia this Saturday – February 6, 2010.

Heather Grey Chase to create a record label under Universal’s Island Records

BERLIN - Heather Grey Chase pitched her plan to create an official record label under Universal Music Group; the world’s leading recording company and subsidiary of media conglomerate, Vivendi. Chase is using her share in Chase Records to form a label under Universal’s Island Records, a division of Universal’s Island Def Jam Music Group.

Chase owns one-sixth of Chase Records, the fictitious DBA name for a partnership label signed to the world’s second largest recording company. In 2004, the American-based Chase Records label was broken into six imprints. Chase’s twin brother, James Chase, runs one of these imprints under the fictitious name Chase Records.

Heather Grey Chase’s decision to create a label with Universal’s Island Records has caused legal controversy over the break from the share’s original parent company, who took legal action against Chase in April 2008 citing she was “…actively seeking to become a subsidiary with rival corporation, Universal Music Group.” Following this, James Chase legally broke Chase’s underground-indie rock band, Pigeon, from his imprint in November 2008. Pigeon has since disbanded and their collaborations with other bands, like Tokio Hotel, dropped due to legal complications.

Chase began business relations with Universal Music Group in May 2008. She managed to befriend several key members within Universal’s Island Records, a division of Universal Music Group Deutschland. These contacts cause several to believe her ongoing intimate relationship with Bill Kaulitz of mega-band Tokio Hotel, who is signed to Island Records, is nothing more than a promotional stunt set up by managers within the company.

Heather Grey Chase owns $250 million in Chase Records and its parent company, while her brother controls another several hundred million. By seeking to create a record label with Universal, Chase will become a direct rival to her imprint’s former parent company.  The first legal discussion between Chase’s network and Universal heads will be in Berlin, Universal Music Group Deutschland’s headquarters this week.

“Twincest” or Marketing Strategy?

Heather and James Chase are back. The New York twins were featured in a GUESS commercial that aired this Tuesday. The commercial promotes GUESS’s new bronze collection but also hints at twincest and has become a target for appall.

Their outfits are sexy and the music a hot electro-pop number. The commercial definitely comes across with the point that if you want to be noticed, these clothes are made for you. It’s just the fact that Heather and James are all over each other.

The choreography has Heather pole dancing on a bar as James watches. Then James jumps up to join her and the two grind. Following scenes show the twins up against a wall, in the backseat of a car, and in an elevator. Yes the collection is supposed to be sexy, but did it really have to go that far?

The twin’s agent and a representation for the designer refused comment. A leak earlier this week claims the twins came up with the twincest angle. Many deny this claim and argue the fact that Heather is dating Bill Kaulitz, not her brother. But who knows – this is the famous Chase twins we are talking about. And as we have seen before they will do anything to rock the media boat.
