Bill Kaulitz: New Album is “No Good”
Tokio Hotel’s fashion-head, Bill Kaulitz, is convinced their third album is “no good.” The album will feature groupie-band, Pigeon. Which causes skeptical fans to wonder; is Pigeon to blame for this bummer of an album?
Fresh off the plane from their first American tour – Bill, Tom, Georg, and Gustav are less than pleased. “The goal was to sell 500,000 albums. We barely reached 100,000.” Bill reports. Despite the sweeping win of Best New Artist at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, Tokio Hotel has yet to rock American charts.
“The pressure is enormous. Even our best efforts…we fail with our new album.” Bill worries. “Our school-taught English isn’t cool, we sound too-grownup.” Tom adds, “We are not winning American fans that way.” The band also suspects the new album’s style will lose fans, “We don’t want another Schrei or Zimmer 483, but we still want to be Tokio Hotel.”
Is Pigeon to blame? Touring with The American Icon didn’t boost the American fan-base, as planned. No wonder, Pigeon has been voted most opportunist band for three years straight. Signed by Chase Records; lead-singer Heather Chase’s father’s label, they have a history of drug addictions and blowing off appearances, on-screen and off. Most recently the group blew off a segment on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
What’s your opinion? The talking-heads are squawking, “P-I-G-E-O-N!”
