Could This Be Heather Grey Chase?
Bill and Tom Kaulitz of German rock band Tokio Hotel made a rare appearance at an event in California this Saturday: the NIVEA and Shay Todd Summer Chateau. In the photos from the event the Kaulitz twins sported beards and the always androgynous Bill appears to have packed on some muscle in the last few months.
But more pressing, who is the mystery girl the twins were pictured with? Some are claiming it is Bill Kaulitz’s rumored paramour, Heather Grey Chase. What do you think?

She’s always had a thing for older men – Heather Grey Chase was spotted in Hamburg on May 5 with Germany’s second biggest rockstar, violinist David Garrett.
Chase attended Garrett’s concert in Berlin, where she currently lives, on May 2. On a whim, Chase reportedly introduced herself to Garrett, having been impressed by his performance, which blends classical music with modern rock. According to sources, Garrett was impressed by Chase and asked her to dinner, during his down day between concerts.
The dinner looked like a casual date according to on-lookers, who report Chase arrived in her signature-disheveled look of rock-couture. Her long blond hair was a tousled mess, and she wore black jeans with a blouse, towering black stilettos and a cameo necklace. Garrett, who also sports a hard partying rocker look with scruff, arrived with his long blond hair tied back and in jeans.
Garrett is a German/American violinist best known as “the world’s fastest violinist” and for his cross over style. He was featured on the American hit-TV show, Dancing with the Stars, in April before embarking on his tour in Germany.
Former American model turned record producer, Heather Chase, is best known for her virtual celebrity as the rumored paramour of Bill Kaulitz, lead singer of Tokio Hotel. She is also one half of Berlin-based experimental electronic duo, Pigeon, whose signature sound is electronic violin.

Androgynous German rockstar, Bill Kaulitz, of Tokio Hotel, has grown a beard shocking fans worldwide. But the real question is: what does Heather Grey Chase think of the beard?
Tokio Hotel fans were shocked when Bill Kaulitz, along with twin brother, Tom Kaulitz, appeared with a beard during the band’s recorded MTV O Music Award acceptance speech. Tokio Hotel won the award for having the best fan army: Aliens.
Wearing his trademark suspenders, this is the first time Kaulitz has ever been seen publicly with facial hair. Because of his feminine look, love of fashion and public lack of a girlfriend, many believe him to be a closet gay. The facial hair gives him a more masculine look, but has many fans that love his metrosexual sex-image wondering why he ditched the clean-shaven look.
In 2009, Kaulitz drastically changed his appearance when he dreaded his famous Sonic the Hedgehog hair reportedly because he wanted to get back at his rumored ex-girlfriend, Heather Chase. The media hailed the apparent break-up of Kaulitz and Chase, especially after Kaulitz underwent a rumored nose job and got several new piercings. Chase, meanwhile, disappeared from the media spotlight.
In August 2010, Kaulitz was spotted with Chase in Los Angeles, where he and his brother now reside. Chase currently lives in Berlin. It is widely debated whether the two are actually a couple or not.
Since 2008, Chase has publicly denounced rumors that Kaulitz is gay and has regularly contributed her thoughts on Tokio Hotel fandom news, earning her the media nickname of “Bill Kaulitz’s Masculinity Protector.” Could it be that he finally took her advice and stepped up his masculinity? Or was he just being lazy that day?
Bill Kaulitz to “Marry” A Russian Fan-Girl and Leave His Band Tokio Hotel
The latest rumor to hit the Tokio Hotel fandom claims that lead singer, Bill Kaulitz, is to marry a Russian fan-girl. A Russian tabloid reported the story Tuesday, April 26.
A Russian fan-girl claims German rockstar, Bill Kaulitz, uses the media to give her signs of his intentions to marry her, leaving his band, Tokio Hotel.
Schnee, Tokio Hotel fandom-watchdog and moderator of Tokio Hotel America, The Official Fanclub of the United States, blogged about the supposed marriage shortly after the rumor went viral Wednesday, April 27. [link here]
She cited the rumor as a deranged fan-girl fantasy not to be taken seriously. Such rumors are nothing new in Tokio Hotel’s international fan community.
The “Evening Rostov” article reports Russian fan-girl Nastasija Shljahovaja ‘met’ Kaulitz on social networking site, MySpace, on February 14, 2011. The two allegedly exchanged interactions, Kaulitz using an assumed identity. Shljahovaja, a struggling musician, also reports she sent Tokio Hotel her demo tapes.
Shljahovaja claims Kaulitz uses his media exposure to drop hints that he is in a relationship. She believes these “hints” signify Kaulitz’s intentions to marry her, leaving his band Tokio Hotel. The article reports that Kaulitz will propose while Tokio Hotel is in Russia this June.
Shljahovaja also claims she has revealed her story because Kaulitz wanted her too. This would then cause the media to ask Kaulitz for confirmation of the rumor, making their relationship official. Kaulitz would then have the chance to make his departure from Tokio Hotel as well.
Many Tokio Hotel fans are amused by the story, commenting their disbelief on Tokio Hotel America’s Official blog; “Is there anyone who believes this?!” one fan commented. “I think the poor girl has a delusional disorder,” commented another.
Along with disbelief of the strange rumor, many Tokio Hotel fans are turning their heads towards Kaulitz’s long-time rumored girlfriend, Heather Grey Chase, to see what she has to say on the rumor. Chase has a reputation of vocally expressing her dislike of Kaulitz’s bad press and her annoyance with tabloid reports of him dating a “secret” fan-girl girlfriend.
Chase refused comment to German tabloid Bild.de.
Mimi Niggel, the blogmistress of The Heather Chase Files, a blog dedicated to all-news about Chase, tweeted on Thursday that The Files’ had received a comment reporting the strange rumor as early as March 20, 2011.

It’s interesting that murmurings of Kaulitz’s alleged Russian girlfriend appeared on a blog about Chase before appearing in actual Russian tabloids. The rumor also seems to parallel the rumor of Chase and Kaulitz.
Many articles about Chase dissect Kaulitz’s media actions as unconscious nods to their on-again, off-again relationship. It has even been claimed Tokio Hotel’s lastest album, Humanoid, was inspired by Chase and her virtual celebrity. Kaulitz has also never publicly confirmed or denied rumors that he is more-than a friend with Chase.
The Heather Chase Files hits MSN News; Are Fan Blogs Helping the Credibility of Online Music News?
MSN’s article pronounced Kaulitz, notoriously single, is in fact dating. Tokio Hotel fans say the article resembled The Heather Chase Files’ previously published blog-post entitled “Bill Kaulitz is taken?! RTL ruined my life.” Both articles referred to the interview segment with Tokio Hotel, aired by popular European broadcasters, RTL.
RTL Exclusiv aired an interview with Tokio Hotel called “Toyboys and Older Women” on April 12. The interview covered lead singer, Bill Kaulitz’s, taste in women. Footage features Kaulitz and his twin brother, Tom, commenting that Kaulitz is taken.
RTL interviewers hastily stated the Kaulitz twins’ comments were jokes, but suggested younger girl-fans could give up hope of ever dating the Kaulitz twins. RTL further ruined Tokio Hotel’s young girl-fans hopes by summarizing Kaulitz’s dream girl as “…a little more mature and preferably successful and rich…”
The Heather Chase Files re-posted a Tokio Hotel fan’s blog-post reaction to the RTL interview. It points out; Kaulitz is under no obligation to publicize his affairs to fans. And arguably, the RTL interview backs up the rumors that Kaulitz is dating 23-year old American runway model, Heather Grey Chase.
The rumor of Kaulitz dating Chase gained popularity in 2008 due to The Heather Chase Files, a virtuality fan-blog run by Mimi Niggel. Her lack of original sources, and no-return commentary, obscures the credibility of most articles on The Heather Chase Files; shame on MSN for pushing such idiocy. A comment from MSN News could not be obtained.
This is not the first time an article from The Heather Chase Files has made major international news sites; in 2008 MTV News Romania released a video news segment confirming that Kaulitz was rumored to be dating a model named Heather Chase.

Oh, Tom Kaulitz what will you say next?
German idols, Tokio Hotel, during their latest interview with RTL Exclusiv, Tom Kaulitz, guitarist, let slip that twin, lead singer, Bill, had a girlfriend. “Ok – now it’s out in the open,” Bill laughingly replied, grin upon his face.
Calm down! Apparently the twins were “just joking”, as RTL interviewers made sure to quickly include before downgrading Tokio Hotel’s fangirls’ screams to useless. Bill, 19, is into mature, successful, and wealthy older women; the opposite of teenage Tokio Hotel fans hoping to marry him. Bill, a self-described toyboy, according to bassist Georg Hasting, may be currently in such a compensated position.
Sadly, this RTL interview might not have been a total joke. If you can get past RTL making us all look like desperate losers, you will find out Bill’s longtime fantasy girlfriend is very close to reality.
‘The facts are all in the open.’ Sound familiar? Good, for my fellow Tokio diehards it should. You’ve probably all seen the tabloid article this quote is from. You’ll also remember that pesky girlfriend rumor that runs rampant online, cropping up when you least expect it. Yeah, the one about Heather. . .
I find it interesting that the girl Bill has been rumored to be dating is successful American runway model, Heather Grey Chase, 23. From what I’ve read and seen of her, she fits Bill’s RTL interview description – older, mature, successful, and rich. Damn it!
If you don’t know who I’m talking about, the rumor started in fall 2008. Fueled by blogs (namely The Heather Chase Files by the phantom Mimi Niggel) and fandom discussion boards. It a virtuality spin all its own. Some claim it inspired Tokio Hotel’s 2009 album, Humanoid. (Bill did admit the songs on which were based on a girl, love, and something that started online, and turned into more than expected.)
But, back on-topic; my point is, I’m not really buying this whole RTL interview “just joking” cover-up. I definitely don’t think the twins were joking. I don’t know if Bill is really dating Heather or not (he hasn’t said either way), but I do think Bill has no problems about keeping his personal life away from fans.
RTL portrayed the boys as gods-of-rock, beyond the grasp of screaming fans, and only accessible to waifish fashion muses. I am insulted, but I don’t think this will Chase fangirls away, and neither does RTL.
